Description:
As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the inventory operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities related to inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely replenishment of stock to meet customer demands. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams within the company.

Requirements:

  • Assign and maintain accurate product locations within Prophet 21 (Warehouse Management System).
  • Interface with shipping on incoming POs

to prep & put away stock replenishment.

  • Collaborate closely with purchasing and shipping teams to coordinate product movement, implement warehouse slotting changes, and manage production rotation processes.
  • Prepare and distribute move sheets for items requiring primary location changes.
  • Review and update warehouse inventory maps to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a Super User for the P21 Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Act as a change champion by engaging positively with the team, providing coaching, documenting processes, and troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Train team members on effective WMS use and problem-solving techniques.
  • Monitor inventory levels through daily counts and maintain control by conducting physical counts and reconciling data with the storage system.
  • Allocate and adjust storage areas based on production and shipping requirements, ensuring the location database remains up to date.
  • Oversee product flow by tracking production, coordinating loading, and facilitating product movement.
  • Verify product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports, adjusting when necessary.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing repair work orders, and requesting replacements when needed.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to warehouse safety and operational efficiency.
  • Support overall cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Uphold and promote safety as the highest priority within the facility.

Handle and operate the forklift and scissor lift to receive and put away product
