JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and supporting warehouse distribution processes. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and improve overall efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, including experience with SQL or other analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (such as AS400) and MRP software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis techniques related to inventory valuation and pricing strategies.
  • Experience with category management, sourcing, and supplier management is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for materials handling tasks within the warehouse environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on building strong supplier relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and 3PL operations is beneficial.
  • Experience in retail management or merchandising can be advantageous. Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to maintain accuracy in records and identify discrepancies.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, including shipping and receiving processes.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to forecast demand and execute procurement strategies effectively.
  • Analyze data related to inventory turnover, stock levels, and supplier performance to inform decision-making.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in inventory control and logistics operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms for purchasing materials and products.
  • Assist in the development of demand planning strategies based on historical data analysis and market trends.
  • Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to present findings and insights related to inventory management.
  • Support e-commerce operations by managing online inventory listings and order fulfillment processes.
