Description
Description Why This Role Matters This isn’t a “count boxes and move on” inventory role. This job sits at the intersection of production, systems, and reality. You’ll own inventory accuracy end-to-end physical movement, system integrity, BOM accuracy, and the daily discipline that keeps production moving without surprises. If you like clean data, tight processes, and a shop floor that actually makes sense, you’ll feel right at home. What You’ll Do Own physical and system inventory accuracy across the facility. Review production orders for timekeeping, material issues, and BOM accuracy. Run and reconcile daily cycle counts; investigate and fix variances. Maintain FIFO, location accuracy, and tracking discipline. Process inventory transactions including scrap, adjustments, and rework. Manage material movement for outside processing and purchase-and-alter work. Create and manage work orders for the production team. Partner with supervisors to assess progress, prioritize materials, and resolve issues. Review schedules, work orders, and documentation to anticipate material needs. Monitor work processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Support 5S and visual workplace standards on the shop floor. Requirements What You Bring 5+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment. 1–3 years of logistics experience. High school diploma or GED (required). Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, and production flow. Advanced computer skills with strong system intuition (NetSuite experience is a big plus). Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and adapt when plans change. Self-starter who finishes what they start without authority. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Regular forklift operation. Hands-on use of tools (box cutters, banding equipment, etc.). Transporting parts to outside processing vendors as needed. Standing and walking for extended periods during shifts. Combination office and shop-floor environment.
