The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods, inventory to ensure accurate records, prevent shortages or overages, and support production schedules. This role requires a hands-on leader who can streamline inventory processes, maintain good inventory records, and drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and material availability.

  • Supervise daily inventory activities including storing, issuing, and cycle counting of materials.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for inventory control and material handling.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping to maintain proper stock levels.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of inventory transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis.
  • Oversee warehouse layout, labeling, bin locations, and physical organization for optimized efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and execute regular cycle counts and physical inventory each month.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production to support build schedules and prevent delays due to material shortages.
  • Train and supervise inventory and warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects across warehouse and production areas.
