QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Inventory Control.
  • Experience working with inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a very high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Forklift certification an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure products, items and materials are sorted, labelled, and stored in an orderly manner according to Kraken’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure any new products, items and materials are received into inventory and put into the correct bin location(s) within Kraken’s ERP system.
  • Work with the Production team to implement demand planning for KRSI Dartmouth.
  • Review and authorize all inventory checkouts and adjustments.
  • As required, produce detailed inventory reports, coordinating with Finance and Procurement as needed to rectify discrepancies.
  • Be responsible for tracking locations of all inventory items both on and off site.
  • Co-ordinate with employees to pick work orders and update inventory accordingly.
  • Perform quarterly cycle counts and conduct additional spot checks if and when required.
  • Update and maintain the inventory management system ensuring that inventory counts are accurate.
  • After each quarterly inventory check, advise the Director of Supply Chain & Logistics of “non movers” stock/dead stock, providing recommendations on next steps.
  • Advise the Supply Chain Manager of any major discrepancies/issues found.
  • Process and document damaged inventory and coordinate repairs or disposal.
  • Coordinate and follow-up on the movement of inventory items between teams and projects.
  • In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager, develop, document, and implement inventory procedures and policy updates as required.
  • Become very familiar with the Kraken line of products, and their components.
  • Carry out shipping/ receiving duties as required.
