Description

POSITION BRIEF: Individual reports to the Administrative Operations Manager and is responsible for inventory tracking and accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Preferred:
High School Diploma or equivalent College degree
Effective oral and written communication Oracle ERP experience
Inventory management experience
Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word experience
General computer skills
Physical Requirements:
Standing and Walking:
The Inventory coordinator spends much of their day standing and walking around the yard to locate, retrieve, and handle inventory. Office work, which involves computer work and communicating with customers, is also required.
Lifting:
The ability to lift and move objects 1-40 pounds.
Bending and Repetitive Motions:
Inventory management tasks involve bending, stooping, or performing repetitive motions like reaching, pulling, or loading items.
Vision Requirements:
Specific vision abilities are crucial for accurately identifying items, reading labels, and inspecting inventory. Specific vision abilities are also essential, like close, distance, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
An inventory coordinator works in pipe yards and office environments, which can be busy and active with potential noise levels. The position will perform tasks near heavy equipment, semi-trucks, railcars, locomotives, and other yard vehicle traffic. Specific hearing capabilities are also essential for identifying moving vehicle locations and communicating with other facility staff.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Responsibilities

 Complete Customer inventory transactions
 Complete inventory transactions in Oracle
 Perform regular inventory counts
 Communicate with customers on inventory and transactions as needed
 Identify and correct inventory discrepancies
 Coordinate with the yard on inventory moves, receiving, and shipping related to storage
 Coordinate with dispatch/shipping/receiving personnel on inbound and outbound transactions
 Coordinate with OTS on customer inspection logging and inventory tracking
 Facilitate periodic counts with customers and auditors
 Apply barcode stickers and stencils as needed
