Job Details Job Location: Suquamish, WA 98392 Position Type: Full Time PORT MADISON ENTERPRISES SUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORT F&B- Inventory Coordinator General Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating the purchases for the department. Compares prices while maintaining the highest standards of quality (i.e., meat). Maintains and controls the inventory (stock) in the department and insures that correct storage methods are utilized. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Checks all BEO’s daily and coordinates purchases with the Executive Chef consistent with the needs of the business and department. Maintains an inventory control system for the storage area and reports discrepancies immediately. Develops and maintains a price comparison among vendors to insure pricing is in alignment with the budget and forecasts market trends. Consults with department managers (i.e., Restaurant Manager, Sales & Catering, etc.) on specific requests and special events. Consults with the Executive Chef on budgetary concerns. Secondary Functions: Completes all necessary paperwork as required by the Accounting Department. Responsible for food storage and insuring that food is rotated for freshness and per health regulations. Responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of the storage areas Reports all equipment concerns which may impact food freshness (i.e., freezers, etc.) Assists with the monthly inventory Attends all department meetings and training sessions as required. Assists other employees when needed. Other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor. Specific Job Skills: Good verbal and written skills Ability to handle difficult and/or stressful situations. Ability to follow instructions, Knowledge of health standards and proper cooking and food storage temperatures Able to solve problems quickly Knowledge in use of kitchen equipment Desire to learn and assume new tasks. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 3-5 years experience in the Food industry Must possess ability to obtain Food Handler’s Permit Good computer skills (excel) Read and write English fluently CPR Certification, desired Job Conditions: Working conditions include working with and around kitchen equipment sometimes under crowded, sometimes stressful, conditions, frequent interruptions. Must be available to work early morning hours and weekends and holidays Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 70 lbs.
Responsibilities
