Job Title: Inventory Cycle Counter
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00am to 3:30pm)
Location: Monroe, OH

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Plant controller, this position is accountable for managing assigned inventories through daily, weekly, monthly, and annual physical counts. The Inventory Cycle Counter counts inventory, supports team members locating inventory, and records and reports discrepancies to management. In all aspects, the Inventory Cycle Counter serves as a role model for the Service Culture Guidelines and mission of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Count all goods in the warehouse on a scheduled basis and compare against ERP inventory levels
  • Conduct, document and report on inventory audits
  • Assist independent auditors with annual inventory audit
  • Identify and communicate common count discrepancies to management
  • Perform individualized facility training on policies, procedures and controls
  • Use forklift and scissor lift to access inventory in high locations (as high as 30 feet)
  • Review Inventory variance reports and work with team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned
  • Follow proper Documentation to support all audit activity (Internal Control Audits and Independent Counts)

QUALIFICATIONS:

General:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with good organization and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience in inventory control and warehousing
  • Previous experience/certification of power equipment operation preferred, for example Forklift
  • Willingness to be trained on and use forklift and scissor lift
  • Must be available to work overtime on short notice, which may include weekend, evening or holiday hours
