Job Details Job Location: Deshler NE Facility Corporate Headquarters - Deshler, NE 68340 General Purpose of Position The purpose of the Inventory Cycle Counter position is to help insure that accurate parts inventory levels are maintained in order to support the manufacture and sales of company products. The effect of errors by incorrect cycle counts can result in faulty decision making throughout the company; inability to ship finished products; overstocking of parts; and significant financial consequences. Essential Functions Must have the ability to learn and recognize a wide variety of raw materials parts, work in process parts, and finished goods parts for company products. Must be able to learn and comprehend a variety of inventory data generated from the company’s MAPICS (Manufacturing And Production/Inventory Control System) software. Must be able to recognize and reconcile deviations between cycle counts in comparison to computer balances. Must be able to run a forklift and secure a forklift license if required. Must be familiar and cognizant of safety guidelines throughout the company. Must maintain a good attendance and punctuality record. Must be able to gather and analyze statistical data. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints; product specifications; and other standard operating procedures. Must be able to use and understand various specialized measuring tools and equipment unique to the job. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as they will interact with other departments, professional staff and management of the company. Must be able to work with limited supervision and show/demonstrate self motivation, initiative, tact, good judgement and sound reasoning. Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the position. Must have neat and legible handwriting. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions (winter and summer). Will perform other related duties as directed by supervision. Describe Critical Skills, Experience, Training, Education, or Licenses Required Basic Math skills and critical thinking/reasoning aptitude is required. Machines, Tools, Equipment and Personal Protective Equipment Used Will require use of tape measure, micrometer, calipers, and sheet metal gauge. Will also use a mainframe terminal for data entry and research as well as a desk calculator. As required, will also use safety glasses with side shields and protective footwear. Describe Any Unusual Physical Requirements or Skills Required Will be required to work in all weather conditions.
