Description JOB TITLE: Inventory Lead JOB SUMMARY The Inventory Lead is responsible for leading operations within the inventory area. The Inventory Lead is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and production efficiencies to meet the standards and expectations of internal and external customers. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and inventory At least 1 year of experience following procedures and instructions per ISO requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs Forklift certified PREFERRED SKILLS Ability to do very detailed work Effective communication skills Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Must be able to work in a team environment CORE DUTIES Train and evaluate inventory employees on necessary processes, procedures, and tasks in their area Oversee inventory team members and issuing of components for production Manage/delegate time of sub assembly within inventory team Communicate with manager to send out components for sub assembly work Ensure all day-to-day tasks are accomplished Verify that production has the items needed for the next days and weeks of production Notify purchasing department of any overages / shortages that do not match the packing slips Verify all items in the inventory cage are labeled and put in the correct place Coordinate with inventory manager to notify of shortage items needed for production Work with manager to do monthly cycle counts Coordinate with manager to complete all inventory counts twice a year Study BOMs to learn which parts are specific to which model and learn how the production board relates to WIP Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed HOURS 1st shift position Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
