Job Summary: To plan, direct and carry out inventory activities with the goal of meeting all sales delivery dates for customer orders, while maintaining manufactured product levels as well as collaboration with Purchasing Coordinators. Duties/Responsibilities: Safety & compliance. Enforce safety protocols and Inventory Department policies. Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Team leadership. Train and mentor Inventory Associates. Operational support. Assist in managing warehouse staff and delegating tasks. Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately on-time Step in for Supervisor when needed i.e. vacation, meetings, appointments Coordination. Communicate with other departments like Purchasing, Inside Sales, and shop floor personnel. Support cycle counts and inventory audits. Coordinate all inventory reorder requirements with Purchasing Coordinators. Approve all Inventory personnel timecards for payroll when Supervisor is absent. Review operations and confer with shop Supervisors on direction for material distribution to respective areas. Attending daily production meetings in the absence of Supervisor. Develop and implement inventory tracking and control systems to detect inventory problems by analyzing product turnover, lead times, delivery methods, maintenance, and other operational reports. Direct, coordinate and plan all shipping activities to customers including ground shipments, freight line, courier, and MP deliveries. Direct, coordinate, and plan RMA processes including receipts, transferring to jobs, and returning to customers. Manage receipt of all incoming material, via UPS, raw material, etc. and assist with packaging and storing of received goods. Resolve operational issues quickly to minimize delays. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Provide feedback and performance evaluation to include coaching activity once per month. Requirements Skills and abilities required: · Must be a proven self-starter accountable for your results. · Good oral and written communication skills. · Problem solving. · Strong math skills. · Strong data entry skills with basic knowledge of database concepts. · Ability to coordinate and schedule incoming and outgoing freight. · International freight experience a plus. · Intermediate MS Office skills. · Strong knowledge of inventory management systems. · Must work well in a diverse and a fast-paced environment while interacting with all levels of staff with a high degree of professionalism and positive demeanor. · Demonstrates the initiative and ability to work independently. · Must possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and complete tasks quickly and accurately by the deadline. · Strong judgment and decision-making skills. · Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills · RF scan gun experience. · Forklift driver capability. · 3+ years of related experience including inventory control practices and procedures. · Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures. Education and Experience: · High School graduate or equivalent. · Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts with Supervisor. · Flexibility to work rotating on-call duties as a coordinator.
