UDT provides technical, professional, cyber security and managed services. This is a full-time position, located in Orlando, Florida. Inventory Lead - 1st shift The Inventory Lead, 1st Shift plays a key role in supporting UDT’s customer product configuration process at the Integration Center in Orlando, FL, and is part of the Lifecycle Services solution. Persons in this role are accountable for leading a team of inventory clerks in managing and monitoring the inventory movements and storage of customer product while in the Integration Center, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of inventory moves, pulls, allocations, and reporting. Persons in this role must possess extraordinary attention to detail with an understanding of safe product handling techniques and proper storage methodologies in accordance with UDT and industry standards. Responsibilities: * Responsible for leadership and coordination of inventory efforts of 1st shift team of 3 to 5 individuals. * Accountable for quality standard of physical hardware handling and storage in accordance with previously defined methodologies determined by collaboration with 1st shift supervisory staff. * Creation of action plans based on dynamic production schedules to ensure inventory is both accurate and accounted for and provided to processing staff in a timely manner such that production can commence to meet predefined deadlines. * Responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of storage methodologies, locations, and techniques to organize, count, verify, and safely monitor the movement of inventory through the facility. * Accountable for the accuracy and integrity of systematic inventory numbers and locations, and the consistent monitoring and correction of errors created by other departments as it relates to physical goods in the facility. * Responsible for monitoring and investigating inventory variances between production system and company ERP.  Liaison with UDT Accounting department to manage discrepancies, provide evidence, and maintain acceptable levels of variance due to ever-changing production and movement. * Accountable for successfully navigating, a part of a contingent of resources, multiple 3rd party provided inventory audits to 100% accuracy.  Also responsible for coordinating end of year physical inventory audits, consistent cycle counts, and inventory modifications to maintain accurate records. * Coordination with 2nd shift inventory efforts to create a cohesive and executable plan for daily inventory needs and activities. Qualifications: * High School Degree or equivalent.  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse and/or production environments and systems OR * A combination of education and experience of equivalent time frame demonstrating similar skillsets applicable for the above listed responsibilities * Demonstrated knowledge and comfortability working with computer systems and hardware, along with basic understanding of computer operating system concepts. * Ability to work standing and bending for full shift, performing repetitive pulling, counting, and organizational procedures during peak volume days. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a dynamic group of resources from varied backgrounds. * Strong Process Orientation and Attention to Detail. * Strong mathematical skills in order to maintain counts and analysis as well as ability to generate and read reports. Requirements: *  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to Read, Analyze and understand work order workflows and instructions. * Ability to work independently without direct, constant management to execute on a plan. * Ability to confidently operate laptop, desktop and tablet computers. * Ability to discern instructions from workflows and work orders to execute desired outcomes. * Ability to communicate with other departments to manage flow of goods volume and keep pace with production goals and inventory needs. * Ability to work 1st  shift hours, weekends, and at times into the later hours of the day as per business needs. * Must be able to physically lift weight up to 25 pounds. * Forklift certification preferred but not required.   Ability to operate manual pallet jack is required. * Ability to be polite and use diplomacy in difficult situations when working with a widely varied landscape of personnel types on a daily basis. * Must be able to read and understand English instructions. Work Environment and related risks: Persons in this position must work regularly near moving or mechanical machinery. Persons in this position are regularly exposed to moderate to loud noises (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic, materials extractors, forklift chimes, etc), dust/dirt in conjunction with normal warehouse activities, heat or cold and other environmental variables consistent with working in a warehouse environment.   Persons in this position run the risk of electric shock if established safety precautions are not adhered to properly.
