Description Job Summary Optomec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist (Depot Resource) to support our advanced manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory, handling parts, and coordinating shipping and receiving activities using Mysis or similar inventory management platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory control to support production, service, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory transactions using Mysis or other inventory/ERP systems Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and materials against documentation Accurately store, track, and issue components for production and service operations Prepare, package, and ship parts, assemblies, and equipment to customers and internal teams Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counts and audits Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure material availability Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of sensitive or high-value components Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant depot/warehouse environment Generate reports and support inventory data analysis as needed Requirements Required Qualifications Experience with Mysis or similar inventory management / ERP systems Hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, and parts handling Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking Basic computer skills (Excel, data entry, inventory systems) Ability to lift and move materials safely Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, or high-tech environments Familiarity with precision components or sensitive equipment handling Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Quickbooks Understanding of inventory control best practices and quality standards
