SUMMARY:

The Inventory Manager position is responsible for designing, implementing and leading an inventory control program that includes regular cycle counting, urgent verifications, accuracy reporting, root cause analysis and data-based feedback to the operations teams across multiple warehouse facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years related experience Including previous supervisory experience in production, warehouse, assembly/3PL environment
  • Advanced computer skills
  • College degree in related field and/or APICS, Lean, or Six/Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Develop reporting tools and metrics that can be used to guide and track operational improvements, stronger process controls and to identify cash flow opportunities.
  • Plan, coordinate and lead quarterly and annual physical inventory events as directed by the Customer’s external auditors and internal operational needs.
  • Identify and facilitate resolution of inventory process gaps to demonstrate a controlled environment using continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Build, train and lead a skilled team of inventory counters and analysts that works well cross-functionally with other Production Control and Operations groups.
  • Regularly communicate Inventory Accuracy progress, trends, and actions with senior-level company executives
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the customer to resolve inventory issues.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
