Job Details Job Location: Valley Motor City of Columbus - Pataskala, OH 43062-9726 Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 Base+Commission/month We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of new and used vehicle inventory for our growing automotive dealership group. This position plays a critical role in driving profitability and operational efficiency through disciplined inventory control, reconditioning management, and turn optimization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in dealership operations and understands how to balance inventory investment, vehicle mix, and market speed to deliver maximum return. --- Key Responsibilities · Manage all new and used vehicle inventory, including acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and disposal. · Partner with the General Sales Manager and Service Department to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning and front-line readiness within established cycle-time goals. · Supervise Detail Department and transportation logistics to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently and displayed professionally. · Monitor and maintain floorplan accuracy, book values, and daily inventory reporting through the DMS, vAuto, and Rapid Recon systems. · Review and approve recon estimates and vendor invoices; ensure all work stays within gross and cost targets. · Track and report inventory turns, ROI, and aging metrics; develop corrective plans to meet performance standards. · Coordinate with accounting to verify inventory reconciliation and wholesale settlements. · Lead, train, and hold accountable all lot, detail, and transport personnel. Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications · Minimum 5 years in dealership operations (preferably inventory control, used car management, or reconditioning coordination). · Strong analytical ability with DMS, vAuto, Rapid Recon, and Excel. · Proven understanding of floorplan accounting, vehicle valuation, and market dynamics. · Highly organized; capable of managing multiple moving assets simultaneously. · Leadership experience managing lot, detail, and transport teams. --- Compensation & Benefits · Base Salary: $60,000–$85,000 (depending on experience and store volume) · Performance Bonus: Based on o Used-vehicle turn rate o Reconditioning cycle-time achievement o Gross ROI targets o Aged inventory percentage · Total Expected Earnings: $90,000–$120,000 annually · Full benefits package, including health, dental, and 401(k) --- Schedule · Full-time, on-site role · Typical schedule: Monday–Saturday rotation
