Description Summary: Handles and moves material, components, and products through departments and facility Essential Functions: Locate and deliver materials, parts and components listed on production orders Consolidate and kit component parts as directed Operate forklift and pallet jack to move product Identify, label, and record locations to maintain organization Verify inventory, record, and make necessary adjustments Unload & receive raw material as needed Assist with packing, crating, and securing product for transport Adhere to business management system (BMS), as applicable Assist with any other duties as assigned Requirements Basic Requirements: Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions Knowledge of fabricated sheet metal products, raw materials and supplies Advanced knowledge of fork truck operation and safety Basic to intermediate math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills General knowledge of stretch wrapping and metal banding processes Ability to recognize and identify product Coordinate needs and schedules per production schedule Consolidate component parts as needed Understand prints, process sheets, and other documents Daily inspection and preventative maintenance of fork truck Physical Exposure: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting Occasional lifting or sliding of up to 50 lbs Oils/solvents on materials Sharp edges on parts or material Constant fork truck traffic The above statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the occupation and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the occupation.
