FLSA Status: Non- Exempt Summary Position is responsible for providing support to maintain accurate inventory data and to ensure inventory levels are appropriate. Authority The Inventory Operations Technician has the authority to request an appropriate amount of goods, supplies and materials as needed for production. Incumbent also has the authority to update inventory data and create documentation for products and supplies. Authority to stop work. This authority permits any employee at any level to halt a job or task when a hazardous situation appears imminent or they feel unsafe. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive, verify, and check in supplies, raw materials, and stock products. Support the development and implementation of comprehensive, efficient inventory management procedures and processes Serve as a liaison and build effective working relationships with internal departments Create, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Work Orders as needed Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, warehouse, and work area neat and swept. Responsible for on-going maintenance/updating of inventory data/records Pull, stage, and distribute materials and supplies for internal departments as needed. Place purchase order request via Support Portal and confirm receipts Monitor trends and activities of related materials and supplies Assist with cycle counts and physical count as required Maintain inventory of assigned materials for maximum turnover while ensuring in stock conditions are maintained Assist with Non-Catalog Item (NCI) TCT program and special projects as needed Comply with company’s safety and business ethics guidelines Cross-train within the department to support coverage and continuity of operations. Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required – High School diploma or equivalent education and/or job-related experience to perform the essential functions of the position Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions 1 year Warehouse experience Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts Good organizational, interpersonal, communication and data entry skills Familiarity with bar-coding inventory management systems Keen attention to detail Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs, occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. The ability to follow established policies, procedures and guidelines PC proficiency with a working knowledge of computers Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimum supervision Preferred – Prior administrative work experience Additional relevant education, training, or job experience Knowledge of the periodic table Prior experience using a LIMS database Previous working knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS Inorganic Ventures reserves the right to modify job duties at any time, and this job description is not designed to cover every responsibility required of the employee.
