This is a high-visibility role that plays a key part in balancing customer needs with working capital targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, or data analysis in a business environment. Experience in distribution, industrial automation, or aftermarket sectors is a plus.

SKILLS

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts; Power BI or Databricks experience a plus.
  • Solid understanding of forecasting principles, inventory planning concepts, and statistical modeling.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or planning systems (e.g., Epicor, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey analytical insights clearly.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
  1. Forecasting & Demand Analysis
  • Build, update, and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts using historical sales data, trends, and statistical methods.
  • Analyze patterns in customer behavior, seasonality, and promotional impact to refine forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams to incorporate business intelligence into planning models.
  1. Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards tracking forecast performance (e.g., MAPE, bias), fill rate, and inventory health.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of forecast variances, stockouts, and excess inventory to support continuous improvement.
  • Deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders to support inventory and procurement decisions.
  1. System & Process Optimization
  • Maintain planning system parameters (e.g., reorder points, safety stock levels) in alignment with business rules and forecasting logic.
  • Support planning tool implementation, enhancements, and data validation activities.
  • Monitor master data integrity and escalate discrepancies or system limitations proactively.
  1. Cross-Functional Communication
  • Partner with sales, operations, and procurement teams to gather forecast inputs and validate assumptions.
  • Ensure planning adjustments (e.g., product lifecycle changes, demand shifts) are reflected in the system in a timely manner.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend enhancements to forecasting processes, tools, and data flows.
  • Participate in supply chain projects that improve visibility, responsiveness, and service levels.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in demand planning and supply chain analytics.
