INVENTORY & PROCUREMENT MANAGER

bematrix is looking for an experienced and motivated Inventory and Procurement Manager to join our growing team. The Inventory and Procurement Manger will lead the Inventory Team and take ownership in developing and implementing controls, processes, and initiatives necessary to support our business. They will also manage Procurement and Production Planning, and own the integrity of our procurement data, raw material accuracy, inventory movements, and our MRP in our ERP (Business Central). This position will require an experienced manager who brings ideas, structure, and enthusiasm to the table. The Inventory and Procurement Manager will lead a team consisting of an Inventory Supervisor, Procurement Specialists, Production Schedulers, Material Handlers, and Receiving Specialists.
The Inventory and Procurement Manager will manage inventory control operations, implement policies, objectives, and initiatives. They will employ standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency to assist with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. They will implement systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. And collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, along with 5 year’s experience as an Inventory/Procurement Manager -OR- 10 years of relevant experience in place of a formal degree program
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Proficient in using computerized inventory systems
  • Experience using Business Central Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
  • Experience working with a global manufacturer is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and negotiation to collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the ability to work with all levels of staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, a plus
  • Ability to conduct yourself according to beMatrix’s operating values
  • Must be able to support a Manufacturing Team operating on a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM shift, with occasional responsibilities outside of these core hours. Should also have the flexibility to support a second shift as the business expands. This is an on-site position that will require both traditional desk work in an office environment and hands-on work in the warehouse environment
  • Must be able to organize, analyze, and present data using Microsoft Suite Product
Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and analyze data to make informed decisions that drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee inventory levels and maintain accurate stock counts in the ERP system at all times.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Continuously audit and adjust ERP data to ensure all inventory levels and information will support our business needs.
  • Own all KPI’s associated with Inventory; This could include creating meaningful KPI’s, putting plans together with your team to hit the KPI’s, following through on accurate measurements, and presenting KPI progress to other business leaders.
  • Establish and maintain stock locations that account for optimization of movements and help improve overall warehouse efficiency.
  • Oversee the inspection and accurate receipt for all incoming inventory.
  • Lead procurement oversight to ensure inventory levels for all products will meet forecast, and are adjusted as customer demand fluctuates.
  • Represent beMatrix USA in all matters related to Global Procurement, serving as the primary US liaison and support for the Global Procurement Team. Analyze inventory data and generate reports for the management team to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Conduct monthly monitoring of slow and non-moving products and make recommendations on necessary adjustments to those products.
  • Collaborate closely with bematrix colleagues in Belgium (Global Headquarters) to ensure overall business success.
  • Lead our scheduling team in the maintenance and execution of our MRP and the accuracy of our inventory consumption.
  • Ensure all scheduling activities are performed timely to ensure on time completion of all Sales Orders.
  • Ensure safe work practices are established and controlled.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
