Job Summary: Responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the Inventory Management System. Greets and engages customers consistent with our Core Value of “Jump Over the Counter Service Excellence”. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs stock counts in the Inventory Management System daily to ensure accuracy of product balances on hand. Maintains accurate inventory levels through proper ordering and receiving of product. Ensures all pending inventory transactions are reviewed and completed daily. Communicates with store director on inventory levels; researches any shortages and corrects unacceptable shelf conditions. Ensures product levels are maintained and replenished on shelves. Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. Complies with all Company policies and procedures. Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints. Takes precautionary safety measures when using equipment and work tools. Assists with all other assigned duties, including period and bi-annual inventory service counts. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Intermediate knowledge of the company's backroom organization standards. Basic knowledge of product placement. Basic mathematical skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to comprehend and interpret information. Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes. Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity. Ability to use knives/box cutters. Ability to operate a pallet jack/bailer. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible. Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor Education, Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age required. Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy. High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience preferred. Physical Demands: Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 55 lbs. Frequently required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling. Frequently required to bend, kneel or squat. Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus. Continuously required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing). Continuously required to stand or walk. Attendance at work is required. Work Context and Environment: Frequently exposed to extreme cold conditions (non-weather). Responsibilities
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the Inventory Management System through daily stock counts, ordering, and receiving procedures. This role also requires engaging customers with excellent service and ensuring product levels are maintained and shelves are in acceptable condition.
