Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Inventory Specialist (GFE) is responsible for the ordering, receiving and inventory management of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to support the design and development, testing and production phases of Programs within RDA.
The Inventory Specialist (GFE) works collaboratively with the engineering and production teams from all Rheinmetall global entities to identify all Asset (GFM/GFE) requirements early and ensure the materials are available on time in the relevant global locations. They will ensure all GFE/GFM items are managed and accurate records are maintained to reflect movements and the location of all equipment at all times. Conducting stocktakes and audits is required in line with CoA and project requirements.

As Inventory Specialist (GFE), you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Lead the collation of all Asset & Inventory (GFM/GFE) requirements;
  • Manage all government furnished (Information, Material & Equipment) items in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL);
  • Identify, assess and manage risks, issues, dependencies, priorities, progress to milestones and budget, conflicts and provide regular and accurate reporting to stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliant management of Inventory, Conduct inventory investigation and complete Inventory remediation activities;
  • Maintain regular contact and open communication with Rheinmetall global stakeholders;
  • Establish and then co-ordinate appropriate storage, packing and internal tracking processes to control all GFM/GFE; and
  • Responsible for the CoA ITAR/EAR items that are provided for testing and production.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • SAP ERP system
  • Proficient in the use of MS Project
  • Proficient in the use of MILIS system with current access authority
  • Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
