Description GTA Containers, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a highly motivated Inventory Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records for a business. Key Responsibilities: Review production schedule and stage material for upcoming assembly needs. Manage kitting of material in larger systems. Conduct cycle counting of inventory to ensure accuracy and proper stock levels. Rotate and organize parts and materials efficiently to maintain a well-structured warehouse environment. Receive and process incoming parts and materials, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Inspect inventory for defects and flaws. Initiate RMA process for nonconforming material, coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing team as needed. Make recommendations to Engineering team for Bill of Material changes based on actual production floor usage and challenges. Support production related activities such as assembly, packing, and testing. Assist Supervisor with additional tasks and projects as needed. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Prior experience (2-3 years) with Inventory Management, Purchasing, or Supply Chain is preferred. Have familiarity with ERP systems and reporting structures within them. Have forklift certification (or the ability to attain it). Minimum high school diploma. Demonstrated attention to detail and adherence to quality standards. Strong organizational and communication skills. Competencies: Maintains the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties. Commitment to ensuring jobs are completed accurately within deadlines. Proactive in avoiding mistakes that should be anticipated rather than reactive. Encourages a positive rather than negative viewpoint. Ability to work well with others while pursuing a common goal. Communicates honestly, openly, and consistently. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
