JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a detail-oriented and hard-working Inventory Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate can function in a fast-paced environment and will take the initiative to increase our production while reducing our total cost outlay. Works under limited supervision and reports to the Production and Purchasing Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS:

· High School diploma or GED equivalent
· 3-5 years’ experience in stockroom and inventory control and overseeing the smooth supply of materials for the production and assembly environment.
· A high degree of knowledge and understanding inventory control techniques
· Must have a good driving record
· Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 pounds or more)
· Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Windows, Outlook, and Google.
· Experience in MRP or IT systems, preferably QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Inspect, label, stock, organize, and record material into the stock room to ensure a clean and organized warehouse.
· Control material in locations and record movements in MRP system.
· Monitor, analyze, and cycle count inventory to ensure records reflect accurate inventory levels on hand.
· Perform double-count confirmations and collaboration for shortage and damaged item receipts.
· Perform new item bin set-up locations in warehouses.
· Ensure material tracking tools, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and/or associated IT system(s) remain accurate and current.
· Conduct detailed research to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
· Inspect, test and sort production line rejected materials against quality acceptance and rejection guidelines.
· Prepare detailed accounting of scrap materials to be processed accordingly.
· Test Customer RMA materials to establish functionality.
· Return excess material to stock.
· Collaborate with the production and quality teams to resolve material-related issues and discrepancies.
· Perform other duties that are similar and as requested.

SUMMARY OF SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Receive, inspect, and record materials into the warehouse and MRP system bin locations.
· Log and prepare vendor returns for shipping.
· Pick up and deliver material from and to local vendors
· Pull materials for production jobs
· Use forklift for movement of goods
· Assist the Assembly Team with builds as needed
