Description

Purpose
The purpose of the role is to provide visibility and communication to internal customers regarding production schedules, receiving roadblocks and warehouse related quality issues. The Inventory Specialist acts as a liaison between Ravago’s business units and the tactical warehousing and inventory infrastructure. The objective of the role is to prompt action from all parties to secure smooth and accurate service to Ravago’s internal departments while taking action to control costs.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
1. Essential Functions
a) Review, research, and complete all complex receipts of incoming material from assigned warehouses.
b) Use varying receiving procedures required for different warehouses and forms of transport.
c) Review daily reports for past due orders and make inquiries with relevant parties.
d) Analyze daily Delivery/Overdue Purchase Order reports and resolve open and past due order issues.
e) Analyze mid-morning Open Pack Out/Open Transfers reports to ensure warehouse production schedules are met.
f) Communicate any damaged material received with the appropriate Product Manager/Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator.
g) Research inventory discrepancies concerning relevant warehouses.
h) Ensure all receipt discrepancies are addressed and resolved with appropriate parties.
i) Manage RGA returns and additional investigation for assigned warehouses in conjunction with the quality department.
2. Additional Responsibilities
a) Remove roadblocks and provide creative problem-solving for alternate production services.
b) Complete work orders for transactions requiring repacks, relabels, blends, pulverizes, and transfers.
c) Analyze and initiate Re-packs, Re-labels, Blends, and Transfer work orders.
d) Analyze submitted production work order requests for warehouse suitability, provide quotes, and estimate timeframes for completion.
e) Update internal customers with production schedule changes or delays and re-prioritize based on need.
f) Communicate work order requirements with the appropriate warehouse and negotiate production scheduling to meet customer shipment dates.
g) Manage warehouse claim creation, submittal, and resolution.
h) Initiate and investigate Corrective Action Requests for assigned warehouses.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

1. EDUCATION:

a. Bachelors degree with similar experience preferred.
b. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree

2. EXPERIENCE:

a. Experience with inventory and warehousing preferred
b. 4 years’ experience with high-volume, multi-site, remote inventory management preferred.
