INVENTORY SUPERVISOR

A vacancy has arisen for an individual to join our Warehouse and Logistics team as Inventory Supervisor.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Assistant Manager this role will ensure that the current Inventory held on site at Brightwake (and also stock held off site) is kept up to date. Reducing the amount of stock write offs by ensuring that stock is in the right place first time and supporting working through slow moving stock and expired stock reports whilst reducing stock held off site is an essential part of the role as is working with the raw materials team to ensure stock is sent to the factory on time in full where possible taking the role of the initial point of contact for any issues. Key responsibilities will include;

  • Ensuring accurate control of inventory held on site at BWK Warehouse and Factory as well as at 3PL sites.
  • Taking part in the planning and assisting in all stock counts and audits of inventory.
  • Helping develop and maintain effective inventory and SOP processes, incorporating current and future warehouse management systems.
  • Helping develop accurate stock KPI reports, reviewing and implementing changes to Standard Operating Procedure to enhance accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Monitoring, maintaining and enhancing procedures to minimise stock losses.
  • Understanding BWK’s stock loss liability and ensuring any potential risk is effectively mitigated.
  • Producing timely and accurate management information and reports as required.
  • Working closely with Warehouse Admin, Factory Planning Department, Buying Department and Quality Department to ensure stock information is accurate and complies with current legislation.
  • Ensuring any stock that requires quarantining is done so in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the Warehouse Team is complying with H&S legislation.
  • Completion of accurate paperwork providing a robust audit trail through the Warehouse.
  • Utilising all space within the Warehouse efficiently.
  • Ensuring picks are sent to Factory on time in full in were possible.

The successful candidate will have a high level of accuracy, be IT literate ideally with experience of Sage 200 and be able to demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving. With previous experience of working in Inventory environments the successful candidate will need to be aware of customer requirements, both internally and externally and have a flexible attitude and approach to the role and duties. Holding a CBT of Flexi truck license would be an advantage along with being experienced at lifting and moving product using HHPT
