Would you like to lead and shape investigation activities across Hungary while contributing to the protection of MOL Group’s business integrity and security objectives? Then this is your place as Investigation Leader within the MOL Group Security organization. Purpose of the position We are looking for an experienced investigation professional and people leader who can drive complex investigations, identify and assess business risks, and lead a high-performing investigation team. Based on the MOL Group Security strategy and investigation framework, the Investigation Unit Leader is responsible for the professional and operational management of investigation activities in Hungary, ensuring effective consequence management, continuous process improvement, and strong stakeholder engagement. Main Responsibilities and Tasks Professional Leadership of Investigations Lead and manage complex economic crime, fraud, conflict of interest (COFI), and human security investigations, with hands‑on involvement when required. Analyse root causes, enabling circumstances, and systemic risks behind violations and misconduct, and draw clear, business‑focused conclusions. Formulate recommendations for consequence management, preventive measures, and control improvements, and ensure follow‑up and implementation. Analysis and Intelligence Perform data collection, data mining, and analytical activities in support of investigations. Prepare structured, high‑quality summaries of investigation results for senior and executive management. Monitor investigation‑related KPIs and prepare reports and evaluations on effectiveness and performance. Field Presence and Stakeholder Management Maintain strong field presence, building and sustaining personal relationships with business units, operations, HR, Legal, and other supporting functions. Represent the investigation function towards local and regional stakeholders, actively building trust and credibility. Cooperate closely with Group‑level Security Investigation experts. Team Building and Leadership Select, lead, develop, and mentor the local Investigation team (3). Assign tasks, set priorities, and evaluate performance. Enforce professional investigation standards, methodologies, and quality requirements. Process Development and Standardization Implement and continuously improve the Group‑level investigation framework at local level. Actively contribute to the development of investigation processes, reporting, and supporting tools. Identify, adapt, and introduce new methods, technologies, and best practices Requirements for the Position University degree. Several years of relevant experience in conducting complex investigations. Background in law enforcement economic investigations, financial crime investigations, auditing, or internal/external audit is considered a strong advantage. Proven leadership experience or strong leadership potential with demonstrated decision-making responsibility. Outstanding analytical skills and systems-level thinking. Ability to interpret complex information from a business perspective and communicate findings effectively to senior management. Strong relationship-building, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Confident and credible professional presence with effective conflict-management capabilities. Team-oriented leadership mindset with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent. Fluent written and spoken Hungarian and English,used daily in an international environment. Confident use of MS Office; SAP and ERP knowledge is an advantage. Category B driving licence and willingness to travel. Openness to working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
