Create impact as an Investigations Specialist Join the largest general insurance group in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role As a Specialist Investigator, your role is to support the IAG Fraud & Investigation Team deliver their strategy based on Prevention, Detection & Response. As a mobile investigator your role will be largely detection focused investigating insurance claims that have been identified as having potential fraud or liability issues. You’ll be the interface between our Customers and Claims staff where enquiries need to be completed to verify the facts. Your investigation skills will also be used to promote fraud Awareness and assist with fraud prevention across the business. This is a full-time permanent hybrid Wellington region-based role (with a preference for Kapiti and the ability to travel across the lower north island) Ōu Pūkenga | About You In order for you to be successful in the role, you’ll have: • Fraud investigation experience, preferably with Police CIB experience • Prior experience of factual reporting, handling of evidence, security and dissemination of confidential information plus the obtaining of witness and suspect accounts • Interviewing skills to a PEACE or equally recognised standard • Experience in a customer service environment • Previous experience utilizing Investigations skills in a Digital environment. • Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. • Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen. • The ability to analyse the internal and external climate to anticipate needs for future action.
