Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record and an interest in understanding business fundamentals, capital markets, and investment strategies. (Preferred majors include: Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Math)
  • Ideal candidate should have 0-3 years of related experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Intellectual curiosity and superior attention to detail.
  • Outstanding research skills with the ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Investment Analyst at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Work closely with the investment team in all aspects of the investment process including meeting with investment managers and evaluating opportunities both qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Provide research support for senior team members including data gathering, data maintenance, organizational support, and analytical analysis.
  • Support monitoring of existing managers and onboarding of new managers to ensure they are accurately included in all internal reporting and tracking systems in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
  • Utilize, maintain, and update research management and portfolio management software systems
  • Participate in and document meetings and conference calls with investment partners.
  • Assist with the preparation of investment performance reports and investment fund information for the Investment Committee, Trustees, and other external constituents and/or audiences.
  • Conduct ad hoc studies and projects related to improving investment process, portfolio monitoring, operations, and risk systems.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
