The Office of Investments is looking to hire a full-time Investment Analyst that will support the group’s efforts to generate strong risk adjusted returns for the Long-Term Investment Pool/Endowment. As part of a small and collaborative team, the Investment Analyst will work closely with the senior investment professionals on all aspects of managing the portfolio. The Investment Analyst will participate in meetings with a talented roster of external managers located across the globe and assist in evaluating and monitoring them using rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis. The Investment Analyst will be an integral part of the investment process and gain broad exposure to investment strategy, portfolio construction and financial markets. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into a broad range of investments in private markets including private equity, venture capital, real estate & infrastructure and illiquid credit. This is an in-person role based at the Ohio State University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio. The team is in office Monday through Thursday with the flexibility for remote work on Fridays.
This Investment Analyst role is a two-year term position with the potential for one additional year. Investment Analysts will be considered for promotion to the next level at the end of the term period based on performance and team staffing needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a strong academic record required. GPA of 3.5 or higher. Strong computing and quantitative skills. Knowledge of financial and investment theory and practice, including quantitative methods. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to make detailed presentations to both internal and external investment entities. Ability to be an integral team member and thrive in a team environment while demonstrating leadership and initiative. Proficiency in MS Office and skilled in analytics and modeling. Advanced abilities with Microsoft Excel or willingness to learn. Self-motivated, detail oriented, commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism. Ability and willingness to travel globally. Requires successful completion of a background check.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, information systems, mathematics, or a relevant field.
