POSITION SUMMARY:

The Investment Analyst provides support in the due diligence and financial analysis of current and potential real estate investment opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline required
  • Single Family underwriting or renovation experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an investment banking analyst, private equity research or corporate finance position
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (mastery of Excel required) with the ability to learn and use various database and planning software. Demonstrated ability to build financial models is required
  • Excellent business writing and communications skills with the ability to develop and effectively present information
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with a collaborative approach.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail is essential.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to successfully interact with multiple constituencies and diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate independent, mature judgment; conveys a professional image and attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical requirements of this position are related to a standard office environment. Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen, and other office equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to hear, talk, reach, stoop, or kneel, and sit; standing and walking occur daily. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and maintain acquisition pipeline report
  • Develop and maintain financial models and budgets to evaluate existing and potential investments
  • Perform property due diligence including an analysis of financial performance and operating metrics; conduct in-depth market research and coordinate third party reports
  • Prepare investment memoranda for distribution to lenders and equity investors
  • Perform construction and property operations analyses as required
  • Produce key leasing statistics and occupancy reports
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly investor reports

  • Research and respond to lender/investor inquiries
