KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of or enrollment in the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course to meet the qualifications necessary to be approved as an Investment Representative
  • Previous investment industry experience is an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, engaging, and professional content
  • Knowledge of Broadridge’s Dataphile and/or Salesforce is an asset
  • Articulate, tactful and confident interacting with clients
  • Exceptional attention to detail and skilled at working efficiently and accurately
  • A team player with a proven record of building trusting and productive relationships
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Disciplined, driven and operates with a high level of accountability
  • Social media experience is an asset

Working with Portfolio Managers Tannis Calder and Mary MacDonald on a four-person team, the ideal candidate is client-focused and detailed-oriented. You take ownership of your responsibilities, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to a culture that values client service, teamwork, and continuous growth. We are passionate about building long-term relationships with clients and guiding them through all stages of life with personalized investment advice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Portfolio and Administrative Support
  • Process transactions such as wires, EFTs, contributions, withdrawals, and transfers in a timely manner
  • Facilitate account opening
  • Prepare investment performance reports and quarterly reports
  • Document transactions and client communications and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Client Support and Relationship Management
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager and client service teams to deliver a seamless client experience and contribute to internal improvements
  • Respond to client calls and emails, resolve inquiries regarding account activity and performance, maintain documentation, and escalate issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulations
  • Execute mutual fund, equity and fixed income trades
  • Schedule and prepare materials for client meetings, including portfolio reviews and investment proposals
  • Marketing and Social Media
  • Post to LinkedIn and other social media platforms
  • Support the creation and distribution of various client communication pieces
  • Coordinate client events
