Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-starter who would relish the opportunity to learn and develop skills in supporting the delivery of the electrical testing programme in customers homes.
The team will ensure that we are able to gain access to properties to ensure that the cyclical gas servicing inspections are carried out. The officers will in some cases make recommendations to a senior officer to take legal action to gain access to homes.

You will need to have:

  • Well-developed communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • High levels of empathy and passion for delivering a high level of customer service, you will often be dealing with customers in their own homes. On occasion you may need to explain matters that they are not in agreement with.
  • Able to work on own initiative, plan and prioritise own workload and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to quickly develop positive relationships with customers and colleagues and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills, recognising when matters need escalating to a Senior Officer.
  • You will need to contribute to the planning and organising of your own workload.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent IT Skills and be a proficient user of Microsoft excel.
  • A positive can-do attitude to bring to the job

The team are based at Solpro Business Park, Attercliffe, Sheffield. There is a requirement for the postholder to carry out site visits to customers’ homes and properties across the city. The team work a hybrid model and this post will spend 50-60% working out on site with the remainder of time either working in the office or remotely at home. This post will be temporary until 31st March 2026.
