With a focus on founder-led companies, family businesses, or ambitious management teams, Synergia is known for its buy-and-build strategy. The firm invests in enterprises valued between €10 and €100 million and has made approximately 40 successful investments in total.

Job description

As an Investment Professional, you work on all aspects of the investment process, such as identifying investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, evaluating deals, structuring, and negotiating. You are involved in all these activities from the start. After Synergia Capital Partners has acquired companies, you support the management teams using a hands-on approach in executing strategies, operational tasks, and acquisitions. You will also promote sustainability and contribute to digitalization to ensure long-term relevance and success for the portfolio companies.

Working in the Synergia team means collaborating with the best investment professionals; the current investment team consists of 12 professionals, including former partners from NPM Capital, ING, and ABN Amro. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis and due diligence for investment opportunities
• Collaborate in investment teams of approximately 3-4 people and actively shape strategies
• Providing hands-on guidance and support to portfolio companies
• Promoting sustainability initiatives, taking into account ESG considerations
• Contribute to digitalization efforts to improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position possesses:

• Strong academic background: an MSc in a numerical discipline is preferred (Business Administration, Finance, Econometrics, Engineering, etc.)
• 2-5 years of work experience, preferably at an investment company, investment bank, or in strategy consulting.
• The ability to work independently, take responsibility, and make a "connection" with entrepreneurs and management teams is a must.
