We are seeking a Vice President to join our Mid-Cap Investment Banking team, with opportunities available in both Chicago, IL and Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing client coverage materials, conducting industry research and screening, originating transactions, and executing a full range of investment banking products and services.
Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring, training, and supporting junior bankers, contributing to the overall growth and success of the team.
In this role, you will:
- Independently manage client engagements and execute complex transactions under the guidance of senior investment bankers.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of investment banking products and services, including buy-side and sell-side M&A, carve-outs, spin-offs, IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, fairness opinions, and activism and defense strategies; actively contribute to both origination and execution.
- Lead or support the delivery of comprehensive investment banking solutions to executive-level clients, managing relationships and overseeing transaction execution.
- Conduct company analysis, develop client strategies, and perform market and industry research across the full investment banking product suite.
- Mentor and train Analysts and Associates in M&A, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) valuation and processes.
- Exhibit initiative and thrive in a fast-paced team environment; demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maintain a continuous learning mindset and effectively communicate complex concepts with clarity.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- M&A experience required, including involvement in mid- and large-cap public and private transactions.
- Proven ability to execute complex transactions with deep understanding of deal structuring across equity, debt, and hybrid instruments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong track record in originating and executing investment banking transactions and maintaining client coverage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor junior staff, and manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously.
- Highly developed writing and presentation skills.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
- Solid understanding of business development, including strategic vision and goals, with application to the technology client segment.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
- FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 exams must all be successfully completed within 90 days of employment if not available for transfer
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Base Pay:
- Base pay range for this position is 250,000.00 USD
- May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards
