At Eckler, we know it’s our people that make us great at what we do.  Our growing investment practice is looking for a talented, hardworking Consultant to be based in our Toronto office, serving Eckler’s clients primarily in Ontario, but also across the country. With a commitment to excellence and a research-driven approach, we empower institutional investors to make informed decisions that optimize their investment portfolios.  You will support the lead Consultant on a range of existing client relationships as part of our ongoing succession management, while also developing your unique areas of client and research expertise.  Role and Responsibilities: * Provide investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients such as policy formation, strategic asset allocation, and portfolio design  * Peer review and finalize client performance monitoring reports, manager searches and other client-specific reports * Develop and maintain client investment policies and related governance documents * Collaborate with our Modelling team to provide strategic asset allocation reviews and recommendations * Assist in managing all aspects of client relationships and develop the capacity to lead on these, as needed * Participate in Eckler’s ongoing investment strategy and investment manager research * Industry participation, including attending industry events and conferences as well as contributing to the industry through speaking engagements and written materials  What we offer:  * Collaborative and engaging atmosphere * Variety in work and ability to evolve and grow your career * Working with colleagues across Canada and across multiple practice areas * Opportunities to help grow and evolve our practice * Competitive total rewards package in terms of salary, bonus and benefits (commensurate with experience level) * An entrepreneurial, collegial work environment * Hybrid work style and dress for your day approach What you offer: * Comfortable presenting to Investment Committees and senior leaders * Excellent oral and written communication skills  * Ability to develop strong working relationships with both internal and external clients  * Strong project management skills combined with an ability and willingness to meet tight deadlines * Strong investment analytical abilities  * Passion for investing  * 4+ years of investment industry related experience, preferably at a consulting firm * Familiarity with the investment challenges faced by insurance companies * Undergraduate degree with finance, investment or a math focus * Completed Level 2-CFA/CFP, enrolled in Level 3, or close to obtaining FSA, FCIA or FIA designation Who we are: Eckler is Canada’s largest independent actuarial and investment consulting firm.
