  • 5+ years of experience in investment consulting, asset management, or a related financial advisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MFin) is considered an asset.
  • Professional designations such as CFA or CIPM, or in progress.
  • Deep knowledge of investment strategy, portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and institutional governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and a consultative mindset that delivers value to clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to a variety of audiences.
  • A team-oriented approach with demonstrated ability to mentor others and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in tools such as eVestment, Morningstar Direct, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Investment Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and nurturing client relationships, while also supporting fellow consultants across a range of engagements. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where critical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication are essential.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead and manage client relationships, delivering customized investment solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Support client work led by other Consultants, providing analysis, insight, and strong collaborative input.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations for client meetings, investment reviews, and recommendations.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Peer-review client deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and the integration of client-specific insights.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and governance affecting institutional investors and their portfolios.
  • Lead or contribute to internal initiatives aimed at enhancing systems, tools, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify client or operational challenges and implement creative, proactive solutions.
  • Independently manage projects, collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with investment managers, custodians, and recordkeepers.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to support their professional development.
