The LAGERS paid investment internship program is an immersive, hands-on experience for intellectually curious and analytically driven students interested in financial investment, risk, and strategy. You will gain deep exposure to market research, financial modeling, and quantitative analysis, supporting real-world investment decisions and due diligence. Working directly with LAGERS investment team, you will sharpen your problem-solving skills and develop a strong awareness of market trends across various asset classes. Responsibilities
  • Research and Analysis: Conducts analysis of investment strategies and vehicles across equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
  • Due Diligence: Supports the IMR team in conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
  • Portfolio Management Support: Assists in monitoring the performance of existing investments, updating and maintaining databases, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling: Updates existing financial models and communicates with the investment team the results.
  • Reporting: Prepares reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, summarizing research findings, investment strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Market Monitoring: Stays updated on market trends and economic developments that could impact the fund’s investments.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with the investment team to support the implementation of investment strategies.
