In this role, you will assist with a variety of functions by providing support that will help the Investment division meet daily objectives and strategic analysis. Accomplished through exposure to the planning, execution and evaluation stages of various work projects and initiatives, to gain workplace experience in the insurance industry and institutional asset management. We are looking for someone to: Gain broad exposure to the WoodmenLife organization by meeting weekly with the Internship Cohort, collectively with Executive Leadership, and one-on-one with leaders at the division level. Summarize and present capstone presentation of the internship experience including project accomplishments, skill development, and key learnings. Project Description Securities Team - focus on learning the process of tracking and on-going maintenance of our security related investment holdings. Mortgage Loan and Real Estate – Execute Mortgage Loan operating reports. Collaborate with Mortgage Analysts and Portfolio Managers to ensure accurate and timely data entry, file tracking, and essential updates of WoodmenLife’s holdings. We Need Someone Who Has: Rising Sophomore or Junior in college with area of study in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA Ability to work 38.75 hours per week Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while working collaboratively Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office The ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service Passion for making an impact in local communities Customer Focus: Delivers timely, professional, and value-driven service by understanding customer needs, maintaining composure, and building trust through care and responsiveness.
