In summary, you will take the lead in:

  • Originating, structuring and executing debt and Nasira transactions that fit our departmental strategy.
  • Writing key account plans, country strategies and jointly determining a successful regional strategy together with the manager and colleague Investment Officers.
  • Structuring and execution of transactions in collaboration with the Environmental and Social Officers and other specialists as needed.
  • Portfolio Management: taking overall responsibility for performance, quality and timelines of all internal documents related to the designated portfolio (e.g. reviews, change and waiver requests, disbursements, and IRC memos).
  • Building strong relationships with our clients and prospects by understanding their business, the market and environment they operate in and the risks and challenges they face in combination with regular visits and/or calls.
  • Taking the lead in negotiation/contracting processes of debt transactions together with the legal team.
  • Supporting team development and coaching Associates by providing input and pro-active feedback to Investment Officers and Associates on credit reviews, change requests, disbursement memos and on their part of the investment proposals (CIP/FP).
  • Participating in departmental- and organization-wide projects, where possible
Responsibilities

As an Investment Officer your activities will be focused across the geographies in Eastern Europe/Central Asia with some focus on Turkey, Middle East and North Africa. You will report to the regional manager for this team.
This role will involve deal sourcing, structuring, and documentation of new facilities including Nasira (FMO’s Risk Sharing Product), coverage of various countries and client portfolios in the above-mentioned regions on an ongoing basis and coaching associates and portfolio analysts. Engaging with product teams is important e.g. syndications and the Nasira team to offer the best solution to the client.
