Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing Requirements

  • CMFAS 1B, 5, 6, 6A, 8, 8ACFA or CFP would be an advantage

  • Relevant Work Experience
    3-10 years of banking experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a product/sales management role

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Business acumen, analytical and results-oriented
  • Strong collaboration, networking and alliance building skills
  • Strong product management, innovation, design-thinking and sales and communication skills
  • Well attuned to the market environment, industry practices and regulations governing the Wealth Management business
  • Good knowledge of the CIMB product shelf, gaps and opportunities, to identify appropriate routes to market based on strategies developed
  • Basic accounting & financial modelling (for business cases)

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Responsible for managing the overall profitability of respective product lines (FX, DCIs & Structured Notes).Management of overall product strategy. Identify key product trends and work with both internal (mainly Treasury) and external parties to establish product ideas and generation.

Business Performance and Management

  • Assisting with ad-hoc department projects, client seminars and monthly investment meetings.
  • Any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the Management from time to time.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of FX, DCIs & Structured Notes.Perform weekly updates of house views to sales staff.

  • People Management
    Key contact point for product providers (mainly Treasury) and primary gatekeeper to assess product viability.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure proper Due Diligence on Investment products prior to product launch (where applicable), and proper updates and documentation of the department’s policies & procedures / SOPs.
  • Adhere to risk management policies and guidelines.Adherence to applicable regulatory guidelines and operate the business within the approved regulatory environment.
