POSITION OVERVIEW

The Investor Relations Associate supports Alder Point’s management team in fundraising, investor communications, and relationship management efforts. A successful Investor Relations Associate will demonstrate persistent entrepreneurial initiative in pursuit of capital formation for Alder Point’s investment strategies. This role involves preparation of marketing materials, coordination of investor meetings, and management of investor reporting processes. Additionally, the Investor Relations Associate will provide support across other functional areas within Alder Point, including compliance, digital media, and operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4-7 years of experience in investor relations, private markets fundraising, and/or relationship-driven sales
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, outgoing approach, and proven ability to build and maintain relationships with sophisticated stakeholders
  • Experience navigating high-stakes conversations with clarity, poise, and professionalism
  • Personal integrity, positive reputation for honesty and transparency, and commitment to excellence

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven fundraising experience and deep, active networks in similar investment strategies (real assets, impact investing, alternative assets)
  • Passion for leveraging communication skills to drive sustainable land management, regenerative food systems, and climate solutions
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment strategies, particularly in real assets, agriculture, commodities, or related markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in crafting high-quality materials for diverse audiences and mediums
  • Strong research capabilities, with ability to prioritize and analyze information that is both quantitative and qualitative in nature
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), social media, and CRM systems
  • Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple investor requests efficiently
  • Ability to work in a small, growing firm, where employees contribute to overall firm success through special projects and tasks that may fall outside the scope of their primary role
    Location: This in-person role is based in Boulder County, Colorado. Office relocation is underway, with a final location expected in Louisville, Lafayette, or Boulder. Alder Point will not consider applicants seeking remote roles.

Responsibilities
  • Support fundraising initiatives through investor research, outreach, and coordination of investor meetings
  • Develop investor presentations and marketing materials for fundraising efforts
  • Respond to investor inquiries and due diligence requests
  • Maintain CRM systems
  • Manage investor reporting processes, including quarterly reports, portfolio updates, and impact reporting
  • Assist in coordination of, and preparation of materials for, Alder Point’s annual investor meeting and other investor events, such as investor field tours
  • Lead special projects, such as updating key marketing channels (e.g., company website), development of social media marketing series and white papers, evaluation of alignment with leading investment reporting frameworks and standards
  • This role will require 1-3 weeks of travel per quarter
