Description
Material Receipt & Inspection Receive materials as per Purchase Order (PO) and delivery challan. Coordinate with Quality/Inspection team for material inspection. Ensure proper GRN (Goods Receipt Note) creation in ERP/system. Identify and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies. Storage & Preservation Ensure proper storage, labeling, binning, and identification of materials. Follow FIFO / FEFO practices where applicable. Maintain material safety, handling, and preservation standards. Ensure compliance with 5S and safety norms in the store area. Material Issue & Dispatch Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions. Ensure correct material, quantity, and documentation during issue. Coordinate dispatch of finished goods or inter-plant transfers. Maintain accurate issue and dispatch records. ERP / System Handling Maintain all store transactions in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / etc.). Generate inventory reports: stock status, aging, consumption trends. Ensure system data accuracy and timely postings. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Planning, and Logistics teams. Support production planning by ensuring material availability. Communicate material shortages or delays proactively. Compliance & Audit Support internal and external audits related to inventory and stores. Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements. Maintain proper documentation for traceability. Continuous Improvement Participate in cost reduction, inventory optimization, and process improvement initiatives. Implement Lean / Kaizen / PPS activities in stores operations. Suggest improvements for space utilization and process efficiency. Team & Vendor Handling (if applicable) Supervise store assistants/helpers. Coordinate with transporters and vendors for material movement. Key Skills Required Knowledge of inventory management & store operations ERP / SAP proficiency Understanding of manufacturing processes Good communication & coordination skills Knowledge of safety, 5S, and lean practices Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
