Description
Alphero is a digital agency working with businesses big and small across New Zealand, to build digital services that make a difference for all of Aotearoa. You’ll find we’re behind many of the apps and sites you already know well. We use fresh, modern, reusable code bases and strategic architecture to future-proof our solutions, all while ensuring that accessibility and security are baked in at every level. Our talented and dedicated devs ensure we are able to deliver on the bold and inventive digital experiences that we envision. They take pride in producing rock-solid, high-quality products at pace, with design vision brought to life to the nearest pixel. We are looking for a warm, collaborative, curious person who loves to code and is passionate about all things Apple and iOS. Being part of an agency (that builds products) means you get to be part of the full lifecycle of a product from beginning to end (from architecture to continuous delivery and releases). As a solid developer you will be hands-on coding and working in iOS work-streams, contributing to products that deliver genuinely impactful outcomes. You take pride in the elegance and quality of your code, and love to continuously improve it as you go. You actively enjoy being part of a supportive team of colleagues and clients, and understand the value of sparking ideas by working collaboratively in person. At the same time, we absolutely support flexible and hybrid working for balance. Working in a consulting business means good communication is vital, but you can do this in your own style. You might be a quiet presence or a more extrovert type - either is great! We’re looking for someone with 4 to 8 years experience as an iOS developer using Swift (and maybe a bit of Objective-C). You may have come from a client or an agency background. The key ‘doing’ skills in this role are: the creation of understandable, supportable code; experience working on all the layers of an application; and care for the security and privacy of the user's data. If you have some gaps, that’s OK, there’s an opportunity to learn - whether it's to grow your technical skills, consulting or in leadership.
