Ciklum is looking for an iOS Engineer to join our team full-time in Slovakia. We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. About the role: As an iOS Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development SCRUM team working for a company based in the US. You'll be working on a consumer-facing mobile application with millions of active users, collaborating directly with the client's US-based engineering team on innovative features and improvements. Responsibilities: * Designs and implements applications following software engineering best practices and principles * Responsible for maintaining the defined level of code quality on the project * Make required infrastructural changes for successful application deployment * Collaborate directly with US-based client developers in code reviews and technical discussions * Flexibility for US working hours - occasional need to work US business hours to 6 maximum 7 pm for critical meetings, sprint planning, or intensive collaboration periods Requirements: * Software Design: * Basic understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts * Familiarity with Clean architecture principles and MVVM — exposure through projects or coursework is sufficient * Willingness to learn and apply architectural patterns with guidance * Software Development: * Working knowledge of Swift and UIKit; exposure to SwiftUI is a plus * Familiarity with Apple development tools (Xcode, LLDB) * Ability to implement UI from provided designs and specifications * Basic understanding of memory management concepts * Eagerness to problem-solve and flag potential issues with support from senior developers * Quality Assurance: * Basic experience writing unit tests * Understanding of why testing matters and willingness to develop a test-first mindset * Thorough self-testing before submitting code for review * Software Deployment: * Basic awareness of CI/CD concepts * Exposure to GitHub workflows (branching, pull requests, code review) * Familiarity with or willingness to learn Fastlane is a plus * Communication & Collaboration: * Good English communication skills — able to participate in daily written and verbal communication * Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed * Ability to work in a distributed, cross-cultural team environment * Willingness to document work and explain decisions clearly with guidance What`s in it for you? * Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door culture that values initiative and empowers its people to succeed * Fast-paced & agile environment: Be part of a dynamic, fast-moving organization that champions efficiency and innovation * Global exposure: Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams and contribute to large-scale initiatives * Tailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certifications * Flexibility: Balance office and remote work to fit your rhythm * Care: Take advantage of our extensive benefits offering, aligned with the best market standards The salary starts from 1500 Euro gross.
