Description Position Summary The IPS Youth Mentor Driver provides daily transportation and consistent mentorship to youth enrolled in the IPS program throughout Philadelphia. This role combines safe, reliable driving with supportive guidance to help youth build life skills, access community resources, and stay engaged in their personal and program goals. Full-time staff are expected to be dependable, professional, and committed to youth development. Key Responsibilities Transport youth safely to and from schools, appointments, program activities, and community events across Philadelphia. Build positive, professional relationships with youth while maintaining healthy boundaries. Serve as a mentor by modeling appropriate behavior, encouraging personal growth, and supporting youth in developing social and life skills. Maintain accurate logs, schedules, mileage records, and incident reports. Communicate regularly with supervisors, case managers, and families regarding youth needs or schedule changes. Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and properly maintained before and after each shift. Follow all agency policies, state regulations, and safety procedures. Provide supervision and support during outings, activities, and community-based programming. Assist with program events, workshops, and youth engagement activities as needed. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience working with youth, mentoring, coaching, or similar roles preferred. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Ability to pass background checks and required clearances. Ability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if needed. Familiarity with Philadelphia neighborhoods is a plus.
Responsibilities
