Title: IPSO Project Manager
Location: Rochester Hills, MI 48309 (Remote) MUST BE LOCAL TO THE STATE OF MICHIGAN AND SHOULD NOT RESIDE MORE THAN 60 MINUTES FROM THE ROCHESTER HILLS, MI.
Duration: 12 months then eligible for Contract renewal

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects within the Information Privacy and Security Office, focusing on cybersecurity, risk management, Epic EMR, and application security. The successful candidate will manage projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are on time and within budget, while aligning security measures with business objectives and regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a master’s or certifications like PMP, CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT is necessary.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Proven experience managing complex cybersecurity projects and demonstrated experience with Epic EMR security projects are also required.
• A strong understanding of application security concepts, secure coding practices, and experience with vulnerability assessments is needed.
• Proficiency in project management software and excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
• The ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• Experience in budgeting and managing project finances, including vendor contract negotiation, is also important.
• Familiarity with incident response management is beneficial.

• Lead and manage cybersecurity and information security projects, developing project plans and schedules, and identifying and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance and integrate security measures.
• Oversee the implementation of security policies and controls in line with standards like HIPAA, NIST, and ISO 27001, and manage project budgets and vendor relationships.
• Detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations are also required.
• Additional duties include leading security awareness training, overseeing security assessments and vulnerability testing, and serving as a contact for Epic EMR security projects.
• Participating in incident response and championing continuous improvement within the Information Privacy and Security Office.
