Description
Validate engineering sign-offs, ensuring all requirements are met with adequate evidence. Conduct Change Point Analysis (CPA) with functional teams to ensure test plans appropriately address changes in usage, noise factors, or boundaries. Review CPA results with IPTSE Thermal system teams and technical leads for components including radiators, charge air coolers, pumps, hoses, compressors, condensers, EBAs, and AC lines. Collaborate with functional teams to analyze failure modes and implement robust preventative actions for Program Action Committee (PAC) / Prevent Recurrence Action (PRA) issues. Audit Thermal system designs, requirements, design rules, test plans, and test results to ensure overall robustness. Partner with Thermal system technical specialists to drive continuous updates and improvements to Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Work with Thermal System technical specialists to enhance test methods and design rules by completing Robustness Checklists (RCL) and incorporating all known preventative measures. Ensure the robust delivery of failure mode avoidance tools, targets, and other critical program deliverables. Conduct plant audits to verify control plan adherence to approved engineering drawings. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 5+ years of experience in Thermal Systems (Climate/Cooling) design or testing. Demonstrated knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) methodologies, including DFMEA, P-Diagram, Quality History, Boundary Diagram, Interface Analysis, and Functional Analysis. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, 3L5W analysis & root cause analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Master's Degree in Engineering. Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data visualization tools. Knowledge of Ford's Global Product Development System (GPDS) or similar product launch processes. Familiarity with warranty data analysis and root cause identification. Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Experience in a manufacturing quality or plant environment.
