Responsibilities

Alstom is seeking an IR Lead located at our site in West Melbourne. Reporting to the ANZ Manager Industrial & Employee Relations, in this autonomous role, you will have direct responsibility for managing enterprise bargaining processes, driving industrial relations strategy, and ensuring compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and legislation.
You will provide expert advice on ER/IR matters, represent the organisation in negotiations, and guide leaders through complex workplace issues. This is a highly visible, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being embedded in the business and working across both operational and strategic priorities.
You’ll be an experienced IR/ER practitioner with a strong understanding of employment law, enterprise agreements, and union negotiations. You’re confident leading change, managing risk, and communicating with diverse stakeholder groups from shopfloor operational staff to project directors and executives.
As a specialist providing advice to the business on a range of industrial relations matters, you will play a pivotal role in empowering leaders, enhancing culture, and ensuring we remain compliant, resilient, and people-focused.
