Description JOB OVERVIEW: The Medical Technician role is responsible for assisting Physicians and Mid-Level Practitioners with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients at The Orthopaedic Institute. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Maintains patient flow, the upkeep of pre/post recovery room, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. Review patient history Screen and consent patients for procedures Recover patients post procedure Communicate effectively with providers/staff Wound care Ensure blood borne pathogen, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and other governmental regulations are adhered to. Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to. Other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE: CCMA or CNA preferred. CPR certified preferred EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred SKILLS: Excellent customer service skills. Comfortable working in fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient with computer skills including experience with practice management software desired. Travel may be required to existing or new TOI locations.
