FTE: 1.00 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Monday - Friday, option for 8 or 10 hour shifts. Required rotational on call coverage weekday, weekend and holidays. Job Summary: Handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the interventional radiology procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Performs other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality performance. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience is required. In lieu of 1 year experience, see education requirement. A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Completion or currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree program in health care program or science related field is required within 6 months of hire OR 3 years of health care experience and able to perform independently in the scrub tech role. Completion certificate, diploma or degree from an accredited Surgical Technician program is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 3 months of hire.
